The Laboratory for Research on Emerging Converters (LICEM) is a dynamic group of undergraduate and graduate students, led by Professor Carlos R. Baier and affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Talca. Our laboratory is dedicated to advancing the field of power electronics through the development of novel converter topologies and control strategies. We are also investigating the interactions between power converters and distribution networks, micro-grids, and other complex systems, using digital signal processing techniques to develop innovative solutions. Our team is passionate about exploring the frontiers of electrical engineering and contributing to the sustainable development of energy systems.
